For as long as I can remember, I have been a builder. But my true calling began 20 years ago when a friend asked me to design a specialty bed for their handicapped foster child. That single project shifted my path toward crafting custom, solid wood furniture for people who simply cannot find what they need in retail stores. Today, I combine my 38-year background as a graphic artist with traditional woodworking to deliver pieces that are as visually stunning as they are functional. Creating unique items that bring joy to families, businesses, and churches is what drives my work.

When you work with me, the experience is entirely personalized. I come to your space so we can assess your needs together. Once you approve the custom design, I begin fabrication, keeping you connected to the craftsmanship with an optional photo diary of the build. To finish the journey, I handle the delivery and installation myself, leaving you with a beautiful, hassle-free addition to your space.

Why is the consultation visit free? I want the chance to talk to each prospective customer with no pressure, just an assessment of whether taking on a project with my shop is right for them.If it is then we talk about project details. If not then I may be able to help with alternative answers to their needs. Time is always well spent here. Even if I don’t build for them it is great advertising.

Why is design time free? Right now it is free, in the future as demands on my time change I may charge for design time. I enjoy design time and often produce several project designs for the customer to choose from. It is the best way to get a great design into fabrication.

Why is delivery free? As an artist and fabricator by the time it is finished I am VERY protective of my work and want to make sure it is delivered and installed as intended and undamaged to the customers location. I have even been known to offer to help customers move the piece if they ever change locations just to protect the piece.

What about cost? I try not to let cost be a problem for a customer if I can help it. I like to work with a customer and help where I can. If I can suggest a fee schedule that helps a customer and moves the project forward, then I will. The projects I build cannot be found in any big box store, they are custom just for you and come with a one on one experience you cannot find anywhere else.

Be aware. If during fabrication I find some design element that would add to the project a certain flair or added artistic flourish that would bring a smile of surprise to a customers face I may do it, no charge, of course it’s all part of the custom built experience. As an artist, I can’t help it. It is often those little embellishments that bring the most joy.
